Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

In pursuance of its Action Plan for performance evaluation, assessment & accreditation & quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education, NAAC proposes that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the institution’s system & works towards the realization of the goals of quality enhancement & sustenance. IQAC of AIE was constituted in 2016 to ensure the timely, efficient, and progressive performance of academic, administrative, and financial tasks.

Institutional Best Practices

Best Practice 1- Inclusive Training Activities-

Inclusive education aims to provide equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their abilities, disabilities, or background. When teachers are not adequately trained to meet the diverse needs of their students, it can hinder the effectiveness of inclusive education in several ways. AIE ensures to provision of multifarious training in an inclusive setup. A few of the efforts include Indian Sign Language training, Common Workshops for students of both courses focusing on Inclusive Education, organization of CRE Programmes, and encouragement to students to attend various Seminars and conferences related to the cause.

Best Practice 2- 100% Placement-

The Institute ensures students are well placed after completion of the course, for which a strong Placement Cell functions in the Institute. Efforts are being made through the preparation of the Placement Brochure, Placement Policy, Personality Development Programmes, ICT Training, Mock Interviews that are being held to give first-hand experience to the students, and organizing the Placement Drive.

Institutional Distinctiveness

The Army Institute of Education believes in synergizing the available resources, be it physical or human resources. Being the only teachers training College all over India under the aegis of AWES, AIE collaborates with the Faculty Development Resource Centre (FDRC), a premier organization under AWES that conducts workshops for teachers of not only APSs and Army Pre Primary Schools but also of Sainik Schools, Rashtriya Military Schools, and schools run by Assam Rifles schools, NSG, Navy and Air Force. Govt of Nepal, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, and some private schools of the country, in knowledge exchange, organization of Seminars and Conferences, Faculty exchange etc.
